Getting Started With Bluehost

Step 1

Click here → Bluehost and click on the “Get Started Now” button to take advantage of the exclusive offer for WordPress users.

Step 2

Select a hosting plan that fits your needs.

Step 3

Choose your free domain name or, if you already have a domain, just transfer it. Once you’ve set up your Bluehost account, watch this video on how to transfer your domain.

Step 4

Enter your account info.

Select your package. Quick tip: I highly recommend the Domain Privacy Protection add-on. It keeps your personal info safe and secure.

Enter your billing information, confirm and agree to terms of service, and click submit.

Click “Create Your Password” to create your password.

Click “Generate Password”, confirm and agree to terms of service, and click continue (you’ll be taken directly to your cPanel).

Install WordPress

Step 9

Once inside your cPanel, click on the “Website” tab to get started with WordPress.

After clicking on the website tab, you should see the WordPress “Install Now” link. Go ahead and click it.

You’ll then be directed to another WrodPress install page. Click the green “Install” button.

Select your domain from the dropdown menu and click the green “Check Domain” button.

Check the box stating that you’ve read this terms and conditions and click the green “Install Now” button to begin the installation.

Keep an eye on the top of your screen. Notice the green bar? Once it’s full, your WordPress install is complete.

When your install is complete, the area above your nav bar will change from blue to orange. Once this happens, click “View Credentials”.

You can also click the “View” button at the lower portion of your screen to view your WordPress credentials.

Next, you should see your WordPress login info. Remember, your Admin URL will be the URL you’ll use to access your WordPress dashboard. Click the Admin URL.

Enter the Username and Password you just received and click the “Log In” button.

Congratulations! You just set up and installed your very own self-hosted WordPress blog!
